Shipping Info

 PLEASE READ ALL OF THE SHIPPING INFO
 
We have been successfully shipping plants throughout North America and around the world since 1999.  We take great care in prepping and packing your plants for a safe trip to your door.
 
Tip:  If possible, consider shipping your plant order to a business (i.e. where you work).  This will save you about $1.75 in shipping charges.  Plus the business can receive the shipment indoors instead of being left in the cold or heat at your doorstep if you are not there to receive your shipment.
 
AQUARIUM PLANTS:
Plants ordered via UPS 2nd Day Air ship Monday - Wednesday.  We don't allow plants to be in transit over the weekend.  If you placed your 2nd Day Air order between noon CST Wednesday through Sunday, your order will ship the following Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday.  Next Day Air orders ship Monday - Thursday.
 (Please do not order substrate and plants together on the same order. Place two separate orders for each as the substrate is too heavy to ship "air" and is next to impossible to package plants and substrate together to arrive without being crushed.)
POND PLANTS:
NOTE: Orders for "pond plants" to be shipped the same week, we must have your "pond plant" order in by 8:00am central time on Monday. (2nd day only M-W)
 
EQUIPMENT / HARDGOODS:
We ship equipment orders M-F
 
All orders shipped via UPS (except US armed forces).  UPS will not deliver to a PO BOX.  You must provide an actual street address for delivery.

WELCOME ARMED FORCES customers!  We support our military...we are now offering USPS Priority & Express Mail for APOs. AE, AA, AP.  In order to serve those (you) that serve us, we must send a special truck to the post office, so, we can only ship these shipments out on Mondays.  Thank you for your business, and THANK YOU FOR SERVING !!!
 
Unlike most on-line companies, our "shopping cart" system automatically calculates the shipping "immediately" when you enter your ZIP code & state. You are aware of the shipping charges BEFORE you checkout.  There are NO hidden or added-on shipping charges added after your order is shipped*. Your credit card is charged (only once) at the time of ordering on encrypted (very secure) server. NOTE: We do NOT have access to you credit card information. We use AUTHORIZE.NET as our credit card processor...they are considered to be the BEST and most SECURE system.
 
Unlike most on-line companies, we do not attempt to profit from or mark up shipping costs to our customers. Every item that we sell has been meticulously weighed so the shipping charges are as accurate as humanly possible. "NOTE: We recommend that you have your plants shipments delivered to your place of work or office or business for several reasons: Shipping charges to a "business" is less expensive than to a "resident". Also, if you take delivery at your place of work, YOU have control of the plants sooner than if you have to have the shipment left on a doorstep (etc.)
 
With larger (more expensive) orders, we strongly recommend (overnight)...it's only a few dollars more and it's well worth the piece of mind knowing that your plants are GUARANTEED to arrive in perfect condition.
 
Note: we guarantee live delivery ONLY on "overnight" shipments during the extremely HOT days of summer and the extremely COLD days of winter.
 
*NOTE: We ABSOLUTELY will NOT ship live plants (or perishable items) via UPS GROUND.  If you choose UPS "ground" as your shipping method, your order will automatically be upgraded to UPS OVERNIGHT or UPS 2nd (at our discretion) and the additional cost charged to your credit card!*
 
Canadian (live plant) shipments:  Now that we have a distribution center in Canada, NO Phytosanitary Certificate is needed for your orders. (this saves Canadian customers $85 per plant order)
 
 
International shipments: For equipment, the customer needs to check with their local authorities about import duties or tariffs. For live plants, the customer needs to check with their local government authorities and ascertain what requirements are necessary for shipping live plants to their respective countries. In some cases, Phytosanitary Certificates are required...these cost $100 dollars and must be ordered at the time of placing the order with us. NOTE: If a customer chooses to place an order without a Phytosanitary Certificate, there is a risk that shipment will not be allowed to enter the respective country, and or the shipment could be seized and destroyed. If this situation occurs, the loss of the plant shipment will be incurred by the customer.
 
To the right of each plant you will see a YES or NO. This tells you if the aquatic plant you would like to purchase is in stock or available or not.
 
CANCELLATION POLICY: Equipment orders canceled or returned will incur a 40% restocking fee + shipping charges. (no exceptions)(no returns allowed without RMA)
 
 Live plant order cancellations will incur a 40% fee.. This includes our "Custom Aqua-Scape" service.  After we have done all of the work to design an aqua-scape, cancellations are NOT allowed. At the point of the completion of the aqua-scape, we often have several hours of time spent.  Canceled Aqua-Scapes will incur a 40% fee.  This means that:  If the aqua-scape design consisted of $100 worth of plants, the cancellation fee will be $40.  (NO EXCEPTIONS)
 
REFUSED SHIPMENT POLICY: Any order refused at the time of delivery with out the permission of doing so, will result in NO refunds or credits.
 
All items that carry a manufactures warranty must be handled through the manufacturer. If we are short a plant or two, we may substitute...we will do our very best to give a substitute that is satisfactory and we always give some free extra plants with any substitution. (we have a 99.71% fill rate.)(if we are short several items at the time of shipping, we will contact you to approve the substitutions, BEFORE we ship your order).
 
Refunds are never given on shipping charges.  (NO EXCEPTIONS EVER)(shipping charges are computed "real time". If a problem occurs and the system can not communicate with the UPS server, the estimated rates could be inaccurate. If this occurs, the rates will adjusted at a later date.)
