Description   This ingenious indicator is used on the inside of your aquarium to tell you if your CO2 levels are adequate, low, or high. Comes with supply of indicator fluid. It is vital to maintain the correct level of CO2 in the aquarium, as too much will cause a fall in the pH, which can be fatal to many species of fish, while too little Co2 will mean that many plants will not thrive as well as they should. The Co2 Indicator hangs inside the aquarium and can constantly monitor the Co2 level. It allows the hobbyist to determine if the optimum Co2 level is being maintained by a simple GLANCE. There is no need to do an actual pH or Co2 test, every time you want to determine the optimum Co2 level in your planted aquarium. The CO2 visual test is a cleverly constructed monitoring device, by which, the correct carbon supply for aquarium plants can be adjusted. The bell's inner part is linked to the aquarium water by an air duct, enabling the indicator to react to the level of carbon dioxide in the water: green = optimum level, yellow = too much, blue = insufficient CO2. The supply of 2 must be adjusted so as to keep the indicator liquid constantly green. The specifically intelligent feature of this small device however, is the fact that only changes in acid levels caused by carbon dioxide are displayed, and not changes caused by mineral or organic acids. Should the hobbyist demand a precise Co2 concentration, we recommend test kits to determine the water's hardness (KH) and pH.
