Bunch and Potted

This plant is listed in this category, but it actually comes in "pots". Simply, because in the "pots" the quality is much better than in "bunches" and is much easier to plant. It is better quality, and you get more stems for the money. (as with bunched plants, when harvested, the plant is actually cut off. From that second on, it is literally rotting until planted. These potted plants arrive in perfect condition, and, unlike "bunched" plants, they have healthy roots so they have another huge advantage... This is not a plant for beginners. Bright light. C02 helpful. Beautiful foreground/ground cover plant. Copper sensitive. Make sure it's not shaded by other plants.
According to this, this plant is not for beginners, but, I suspect that most customers that have tried and failed at this plant, received it in "bunched" form and it never had a fair chance to survive. Now, that we offer it in "pots" with a healthy root system, the success rate has much improved. (use our "aquariumplants.com's own substrate fertilizer tablets...a guaranteed product.)

Glossostigma elatinoides is commonly used as a foreground plant in aquariums. Plant several pots of Glossostigma in the desired areas and then watch them expand to form a dense carpet. Glossostigma elatinoides can also be purchased on cocofiber mats to help create an instant foreground in 2 different sizes. Make sure to have ample lighting to be successful with this foreground plant.

These arrived in very good condition, have spread and grown well. I have order many plants in great condition from this site and never saw any snails or anything bad. I highly recommend them

Give it time February 15, 2013

I ordered 4 pots of glosso for a newer planted aquarium.  I was concerned at first because of past comments, including those from aquariumplants.com.  I did see some die back while the plants adjusted to my water, but after a couple of weeks they started sending runners everywhere.  Great looking and fast spreading.

I LOVE this plant March 7, 2012
Reviewer: ConsiderThis from Santa Fe, NM United States
I ordered Glossostigma because it was described on some sites as being happy in cold water. I heat with candles, so my aquarium water is pretty cold.

I didn't quite appreciate that it's a high Light plant, so I'm not sure it will continue to do well, but it is so lovely.

It arrived in perfect condition. I trimmed off the roots the way a video on planting showed to do, then discovered that the plant kept floating up... so I scattered some substrate on it. (I'm using Eco Complete) and that kept it down.

I also planted a couple of cuttings on their own, all toward the front of the aquarium where the light is strongest.

The Glossostigma immediately began pearling (is that what the little oxygen bubbles are called?) and when all the other plants stopped, it has continued. Nevertheless I've ordered CO2... the Excell stuff.

I sure appreciate the quality of the plants from AquariumPlants.com
