They expand with the growth of the plants so as not to "pinch" the stems...Designed and patented by the best aquatic plant nursery in the business!  They are made of a soft pliable material that actually moves to allow for plant growth...their great!

I bought 3 sets of these and love them, I was finding a plant floating almost every other day till I found these.  So glad I found them.  Thanks for a great find.

Does the Job September 19, 2015

I find them to be better than the alternatives, but I still have the occasional plant that gets uprooted by my fish (I suspect my Blue Rams & Corys). They are large, about the size of a half dollar(?). I trim some of my down (to the size of a nickel) for smaller plants. I tried to make DIY version, but have not found a material that is as pliable, strong, and heavy as these.

Great product for bunched plants November 1, 2013
Reviewer: planted tank from PA United States
This was my first time using these and I could not be happier with them. Well worth the expense. They hold a bare root or bunched plant in the substrate and allow them to anchor with roots easily. This was so much better than previous times I planted bunched plants and had to find them floating when they didn't stay down. The anchors work very well and do not cost too much.

Excellent and easy to use! August 23, 2010
Reviewer: G. Brown from Corydon, IN United States
These anchors work so much better than the lead strip ones IMO.  The design makes it easier to anchor the plants in one place without them still moving around like they can with lead weights.  And it's also easier to control how much of the root system goes into the substrate.  Also makes rearranging of the plants much easier, and the fish don't seem to dislodge them as easily.  I've already bought two packs and plan to order more with my next order!

Best plant anchors hands down! August 15, 2007
Reviewer: James Roar from Lewis Center, OH United States
At first I purchased 3 packs of these anchors and loved them so much I ordered quite a few more!  I use them for almost every plant in my tank.  I have over 40 of these in use and have a few extra packs laying around just in case I find another plant to add to my collection.  They are a real blessing as I use crushed coral as a substrate and those metal anchors tend to give off a white residue and tend to rot the plant below the anchor.  This anchor allows the roots to grow without the fish or whatever you may have eating them off and expands to allow the stem of the plant to grow.  They also make it easy to move the plants without destroying the roots!  Place them just slightly under your substrate and they hold the plant down great!  A must have for anyone wanting a great looking tank!
