Already have a valve? Trash it or upgrade it with the part here or throw it out,what you own is incorrect, obsolete,not functioning properly,not up to the standards your reef demands to survive as a high quality environment. This unit is da'bomb,the unit that has the digital read out. Any rating here that is not 5 stars has nothing to do with this unit but some other thing that someone may have been upset about - you cannot say anything bad about this product. As other reviewers have said, 'set it and forget it' Manually setting a needle valve is impossible to do,it constantly changes with the pressure from outside the tank and inside, always. This unit compensates those constant variables and adjusts for them to give a consistent flow of CO2 to the reactor. There is no other mechanism to do this function. Every valve that exists is an inferior product for the job, cannot say enough how badly you need this. One of the best investments your ever, ever going to spend on your reef! Enjoy!

I ordered this set, and was a bit skeptical at first. But after 2 weeks, it's going great, and the plants are thriving! I'm about to order 2nd one with an added box for 2 more aquariums.!

this regulator has given me some serious peace of mind with my ca reactor. very accurate bubble count/control. the digital readout is nice but not a necessity imo.

I recently purchased the electronic regulator from AquariumPlants.com and had to comment on this product. It is by far the best regulator I've used. My 1st 2 regulators were traditional solenoid based units and both failed in less than 4 months. When they did function, the bubble counters continually ran dry in a matter of a day or 2. Now , I can drive the dKH where I want it consistently. Also, I want to thank Mark & Randy for on the phone consultations. Lastly, the warranty service is 2nd to none as I inadvertently damaged my regulator when changing the CO2 cylinder. I contacted Mark & Randy and had a replacement at my door in 4 days. Thanks to Mark, Randy and everyone else at AquariumPlants.com

Worth every penny	October 30, 2008

I have gone through many regulators in my 10 years of having a calcium reactor. 3 years ago I bought the non digital version and it was good but I would still have occasional issues because of pressure differences, etc. This thing is awesome. Absolutely zero issues and the way it works is just a much better concept!

Not only has this regulator worked flawlessly, it was simple to set up and it came with the piece of mind of a 3 year warranty. The LED for a bubble counter with control coming from a highly accurate rheostat is perfection and takes the guesswork out of CO2 dosing. It's simply elegant! I will never own another regulator. I am completely smitten with this system. Excellent product guys!
