WOW
October 19, 2009
Reviewer: Brian Rogers from Mount Ida, AR United States
I recieved the bulb with about 1/2 inch sprouts. Planted and within one week it was 2-3 inches tall. Week 2 it is same height but the leaves have filled out a lot, great dark maroon color. Very beautiful plant, would recommend to anyone.

IMPORTANT READ THIS!!!

If you get a bulb with no sprout at all, plant it above substrate in light, wait no more than 2 weeks. It shouldn't even take that long, but if two weeks goes by and nothing - you've got a dead bulb (it happens.)
Mine arrived with a little sprout, grew quickly of course. Plant is very delicate and beautiful. After first sprout grew a few roots, I pulled it off the bulb and planted it by itself. Bulb produced another sprout and first is doing well, so I got 2 for 1!! Great stuff.
Ordered a dozen different plants, 2 were DOA, 2 died shortly after, but the rest were all gorgeous and bigger/fuller than expected. Death may be due to 2 day shipping instead of overnight.

Reviewer: Leonard Boss from Long Pond, PA United States
I was aprehensive to buy a plant in bulb form because I did not want to wait a long time for growth. I planted this bulb which had one small leaf growing from it, fast forward to 4 days later and KACHOW! 4 BIG leaves sprouted and are growing BIG and FAST!!! a MUST HAVE!!!

Tiger Lotus Red-Extremely Easy & Gets Huge!
August 15, 2009
Reviewer: Dawn from McKeesport, PA United States
I've purchased this in the past and received it as a bulb.
Never did bulbs BEFORE this and buried it completely beneath my eco-complete substrate...to my suprise a few days later and I already had 2 tiny stems with what looked like teeny leaves curled up into theirselves.
Within a couple more days I had several leaves that i'd compare in size to that of a oak tree leaf...less than a month later and I had lilly pad sized leaves that were absolutely gorgeous and easily reached to the top of my 90g.
A definate centerpiece to say the least, but be careful as this can/will shade other plants...so think out the placement BEFORE just tossing it beneath the substrate as I originally did.

Love the plant

I love it! It was very small when I got it but it took off really fast, and has lots of new growth. It is definitely everybody's favorite in the tank. You won't find anything this beautiful in a pet store!

Still waiting
July 11, 2009

I placed this bare bulb in my tank a month ago. It's now fuzzy but no sprouts. My other plants are doing well.
Guess I'll just have to be a little more patient.

bulb
May 31, 2009
Reviewer: william hines from clinton, NC United States
I received this plant as a bulb as described in the description.
It has not grown yet, but what I can see it is doing quite well.
It is already a very nice purple/ pink color.
I am sure it will grow to be a beautiful plant.
So far very sturdy.
I have only had this plant for about 1 week and it's already starting to grow some.
I would recommend this plant bulb, so far.

I received a bulb as well and planted it. Within 2 weeks I had small leaves. After a month my plant was HUGE and had leaves that reached the top of my aquarium! These plants are worth every penny!

This Plant Explodes
January 6, 2009
Reviewer: John from Dunedin, FL United States
Dont be fooled by the small bulb you will receive, in a couple of weeks it will go from a couple small leaves to a centerpiece sized plant. I have to trim this back about twice a week just so it does shade all of my other plants. With high light & CO2 this plant has explosize growth. Its by far the best $5 plant I ever got and will certainly be getting more for future tanks.

Beautiful Colors
July 18, 2008
Reviewer: Jessica from SE US
Unlike some of the other reviews, my plant was not a small bulb. It had large leaves, almost the size of a baseball, and the 3 stems were about 7 inches tall with a baby leave coming up. One of the leaves got a little torn up, but that was not a problem. It is a beautiful darker red color with a hint of green.
