We are very excited to be bringing Staurogyne repens to the US market now!

Staurogyne repens was first traded worldwide commercially in 2006.

Staurogyne repens is a green stemmed plant that resembles Hygrophila. Unlike the Hygrophila, Staurogyne repens is dwarf in size and sends stems out laterally to form a carpet similar to dwarf baby tears.

Staurogyne repens is a fresh green, compact and hardy plant for the foreground of the aquarium and it was found in River Rio Cristalino in the southern Amazonas. Its nearest relative in the aquaristic is Hygrophila but Staurogyne is different with its compact, low height and bushy and small green leaves.

Low and bushy stature: 2 to 4

Color: Green leaves

Comes in a 2 1/4" round portion cup. Approximately 5 main plants usually with a couple stems coming from each plant.

beware of malachite green October 24, 2016
Reviewer: david riedmiller from boulder, CO United States
I recieved 2 baskets with very healthy looking plants.
Broke them up into plantlets about an inch apart.
With high light they spread slowly but consistently into a mat about 4 x 3 inches after about 5 wks.

Then an ich outbreak.  Used malachite green (Nox Ich) .  The mat  just fell apart.  Green leaves floating everywhere.  None of the other plants were affected (crypts mostly).  That was a week ago and it looks like maybe it might recover from the roots.

Baby Tissue Culture September 30, 2016
Reviewer: Sean from Albuquerque, NM United States
I've had a lot of success with a past tissue cultures from AquariumPlants.com so I'm looking forward to seeing how this s. repens does in my tanks.  The plant looks super healthy (very green and great root structure).  It came with pretty small leaves which I'm sure will fill out in time.  I spread it throughout my 3 tanks, all of which have slightly different growing conditions to hopefully have the best chance for success as from what I'm told this plant is fairly easy to propagate thru cuttings.  Very happy customer!

Small December 30, 2014

Everything I have ordered from here has been 5/5, however this plant came in a TINY little bunch and is not spreading as I was hoping. It is pretty for a teeny little bush that hasn't grown in a month.

Reviewer: Craig Woodhull from LANCASTER, CA United States
I can almost watch this plant grow. One cup grew over a rock in two days. The other plant was growing over a piece of driftwood. Had to move the wood as I want a ground cover. No brown all green.( should have cut these as the cups were packed, never to late but I will just by more next order,)  Thanks A.P.Com
