Its nearest relative in the aquaristic is Hygrophila but Staurogyne is different with its compact, low height and bushy and small green leaves.

Smaller than expected! July 20, 2014
Reviewer: Joe Dugan from Bellevue, WA United States
The plants only arrived a week ago so as far as growth rate there's not a lot I can offer. However, the plants did arrive in bunches around 1 inch x 2 inch or smaller. Pretty petty considering I ordered 5 bunches and all of it easily fit in my palm.

The plant arrived very green and lush though, so here's hoping it blankets out well.

Edit. These came with snails and died instantly. They had everything they needed.

Awesome! April 29, 2014

I bought these with a large portion of other plants, and I was greatly surprised by the quantity that I received. I am quite happy to have them in my tank. I can't wait till they start to carpet.

Great Ground-cover March 19, 2014
Reviewer: Uwe R. Schick from Irvine, CA United States
Bought a couple of these and they arrived in great shape.  Strong, rooted and bright green.

Grows fairly fast.  I keep cutting/pinching their tops off to promote lateral growth.

I have tried other ground covers with little success  i.e. Baby Tear, Cryptocoryne, parva (Potted)  and Glossostigma.  Just make sure there is plenty if direct light.

These little gems are make a great foreground plant.  Very hardy.... may have a little die off but bounces back once acclimated to your water!

Grows different than expected July 11, 2013
Reviewer: Brian from Gulfport, MS United States
Bought two of these two weeks ago. They handled the 2-day shipping quite nicely. Didn't get as much as I would have liked. Just as pictured but they were a little taller than expected and have started growing vertically almost right away. The description says they grow laterally and I was expecting a carpeting effect. Maybe they will branch out laterally soon as it has only been two weeks. Overall very happy with the purchase.
