Beautiful broad leaf sword with red spots on elongated green leaves. Medium hardiness. It needs rich substrate (nutrients to roots) and is copper sensitive. This species is amphibious, and will grow either submersed or partially submersed. Requiring little attention after the initial planting, the Ozelot Sword is a great plant for beginners.

The Ozelot Sword requires moderate to high lighting, approximately 3 watts per gallon provided by full spectrum (5000-7000K) bulbs. The temperature of the water should be between 73°-83°F, with an alkalinity of 3-8 dKH and a nuetral pH.

The Ozelot Sword propagates by rhizomes or adventitious shoots that grow off of leaves. A prolific plant under most circumstances, a new leaf once a week is not uncommon
