8/10 response: Plants received not red Tiger Lotus as was indicated on invoice! Most likely are one of the much larger night blooming tropical WL's which will have a pink or red flower. The Red Tiger with a white flower is very small even at its full size. It has a small creamy white flower. Mature surface leaves are predominantly green.
The leaves of the other species/variety that I received are developing into large saggitate (arrowhead like) leaf form with a strong rather even bronzy and reddish overlay with a few irregular darker blotches. A red tiger lotus should have broader submersed leaves that are more greenish with a slight pinkish or redish overlay and many small darker blotches or spots.
I am quite dissappointed that I did not receive the red tiger lotus as this was the primary objective for my plant order ...hence the 3 stars! Plants received still are worthy subjects. ...8/23 update: have 4 new plants, of the 8 total 1 is most likely Red Tiger Lotus...

I bought this plant some months ago as a single bulb with just a tiny root showing. After sticking it in the substrate, it grew fairly quickly into a full-sized plant. After reading some of the other reviews here, I decided to cut the bulb from the plant and try growing another plant from the bulb. It worked and I soon had a second tiger lotus. All in all, I now have four tiger lotus plants from my one bulb and they all look amazing. Quite possibly the best plant purchase I have ever made.

What a georgeous plant. Arrived as a bulb with a few growths on it. After 1 week, numerous beautiful rose colored leaves with green fringes have developed; Just keeps sprouting new, beautiful leaves with no special care required. An absolute beauty for any aquarium.

I ordered and received two of these bulbs, one arrived with very small roots, and one with no roots. Anybody can tell my how to plant this 'no rooted' bulb? I guess it does not really matter how to plant it; after about two weeks growth is showing! I am curious how it will develop from here! After 4 weeks both plants are growing steadily.

It came as a tiny bulb; I put it inside my substrate and it came up really nice in a week time. Now after a month it has got 4 to 5 leaves with great size and beautiful color. I'm so happy with the plant.
