A beautiful African Lotus plant, brilliant red colors with spots. The leaves will start out low and some runners may extend with some leaves floating on the surface. Medium hardy plant. Keeping the long runners pruned encourages bottom growth.
We import these from Guinea, West Africa...these are absolutely gorgeous specimens...this is one of the most beautiful plants you will ever see...no disappointments...guaranteed!!!
Note: Your plant may either arrive as a full plant or a sprouted bulb. (early growth bulbs are less likely to be damaged during shipping)

An amazing plant to watch May 30, 2015
Reviewer: John Whittaker from New Braunfels , TX United States
It comes as a little ball of dirt about the size of a marble  with a couple of tiny leaves.  The reddish leaves will grow, then one at a time a stalk will grow that takes one leaf at a time up to the surface.  My aquarium is 31" deep and the stalk would take it from the bottom to the surface in 48 hours, then another leaf would grow.  Really entertaining, amazing to watch, the leaf rises shaped aerodynamically to minimize drag.  Try one, nourish, and prepare to be amazed.

Bloomed like a champ April 13, 2015
Reviewer: Amandine from Clearwater, FL United States
I received 2 bulbs. Each had a couple of stems, but I wasn't sure which way to plant them. I planted one with the stems up and the other with the stems down. After a week, the ones with the stems up died. I moved it upside down but it never took. However, the second one bloomed like crazy! I placed it in the center of the center of the tank and it is now the "main piece". A beautiful plant! Right now, leaves grow red but turn green after a couple of days. I am getting some Iron in the hopes to have the plant turn back to red. All in all, it grows very fast and is a great addition to the tank (fish love swimming through it too).

Crayfish loved it! March 13, 2015
Reviewer: Kelly Davison from Stockton, CA United States
I received a huge bulb with sprouts or roots. Wasn't sure what was up or down, so I just set it in the tank to let it decide. My blue crayfish came out grabbed it and took it into his lair and ate all the sprouts! I retrieved it and planted it so now it's a wait n see. 3 stars cause I couldn't find out how to plant it anywhere
Update: Wow absolutely gorgeous! Wish I had room for more.Taken off like a champ. Crayfish leaves it alone now...YAY!

It's ok. January 16, 2015
Reviewer: HP from Garden Grove, CA United States
Received 2 large bulbs with some thing sticking out and not sure it's a leaf or roots system. Item product title easy misleading buyer if they are not aware getting a bulb instead thinking they are getting a plant in sale display product.
