Iris Acadian Miss is a popular, award winning, ruffled white Louisiana iris cultivar with distinctive yellow-green signals and green style arms. Acadian Miss is a hardy, 30–40-inch-tall perennial that thrives in wet, sunny environments like pond edges and bog gardens in zones 6-10.
Appearance: Ruffled white flowers (3-5 inches across) blooming from May to July.
Light/Soil: Requires full sun (6+ hours) and wet, moist soil or up to 2 inches of water above the soil surface.
Hardiness: Zones 6–10; deer-resistant.
Maintenance: Divide and transplant during summer dormancy (June/July).
Planting: Plant rhizomes shallowly, with the top just barely visible.
‘Acadian Miss’ resulted from a cross between ‘Clyde Redmond’ and ‘Clara Goula’. It is widely used as a centerpiece in aquatic landscapes due to its vibrant color and height.
