Staurogyne sp Porto Velho

Staurogyne Porto Velho is a popular aquarium plant known for its creeping growth and unique narrow, shaped leaves that are primarily green in color with the potential of a brownish-red hue to them espicially under high lighting. Keeping it trimmed will promote bushier growth under medium to high light. It can be grown in both submerged aquarium conditions or emersed in paludarium or terrarium enclosures. Excellent choice for foreground to mid ground placement.

This particular species requires slightly more care than its popular counterpart Staurogyne Repens. CO2 injection and the use of a substrate fertilizer tab will help yield better growth.

Please be sure to remove this plant from its pot. Remove the cotton surrounding the roots and plant into a quality substrate.
